The equipment shown here was all built by me (furnace, marver, ring tool) given to me (glory hole, bench) or purchased (annealer, tools) for the Calgary studio, and moved here to Vancouver Island in the summer of 2006.
The glory hole was converted back from natural gas to propane, and now burns hotter than ever. The furnace required a rebuild of the two lids before it could be used. As part of the lid rebuild, I created a
gathering port ring out of 'rammable' to contain any glass drips. The block bucket contains water with a touch of bleach to prevent mold formation. The thermometer shows a nice July afternoon temperature in the studio.
